Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Community Newspaper, National Magazine, Local/Regional Magazine, Trade Magazine, Newsletter

I'm a copy editor at a mid-sized daily in Alabama seeking more writing opportunities with permission from management. I began work at a community newspaper that published five days a week directly out of college and have worked my way up. With the exception of an 18-month stint as an associate editor at a city mag in Knoxville, I've worked primarily in newspaper. The city magazine, CityView, purges its site regularly, so I can't provide links. However, I have hard copies and scans if anyone is interested. I've also provided a link to one of my Progressive Farmer articles. While I have written several stories for the national trade magazine, I prefer writing features there. I'm not available for extensive travel, but I can handle two-day trips and any writing or editing work that can be done by phone and e-mail. I work on a Mac with Microsoft Word, and compatability seldom is an issue. I have a high-quality digital camera with some experience, but my primary talents are copy editing and writing.
