Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, National Magazine, Local/Regional Magazine, Local Radio, Online Newsmagazine, Book Publishing

I am a freelance magazine writer/editor and a published cookbook author. My cookbooks, Killer Pies and Killer Chili, were published in 2007 by Chronicle Books (as Stephanie Anderson).

I've been published in Better Homes & Gardens, Spirit (Southwest Airlines), Pursuits, Susquehanna Style, CENTRAL PA magazine, Pittsburgh magazine, Rain Taxi & more.

One of my strengths is my versatility. Besides lots of food writing, I've published pieces about breast-cancer survivors, rattlesnake-wranglers, Elvis impersonators, indie filmmakers, a Native-American boarding school, home/garden design, and more.

In addition, I've created copy for a calendar featuring the foods of Jerusalem, wrote and edited content for two magazines for Hispanic and Asian-Pacific Islander heritage months, and I regularly proofread content for ExplorePAHistory.com.

I'm always looking for new projects, so please e-mail me if you're looking for a writer or editor. I'm a full-time journalism professor, but my teaching schedule allows me to freelance regularly.
