Carrie Oleynik is a freelance writer based in Baltimore, Md. She is also a graduate student of the Towson University Professional Writing Program studying Creative Writing.

Between working on a novel, writing short fiction and putzing around with poetry, she is a frequent contributing writer for The Daily Record's special publications and a periodic contributor for B-more Live (a Baltimore-based entertainment newspaper) and ChickSpeak(www.chickspeak.com, a leading online resource for women ages 18-34). Her work has also been featured in University Business magazine (a national trade magazine for higher education administrators), Maryland Entrepreneur Quarterly (a new publication under The Business Monthly), and will appear in issue 35 of metro.pop magazine (a bimonthly national fashion and lifestyle consumer magazine with a circulation of more than 65,000).

She is a communications specialist for the Towson University College of Business and Economics, where she serves as the managing editor of its magazine along with writing content for the College's Web site and special publications including e-newsletters, an annual report, brochures, and more.
