Sasha Horne has a passion for politics, current events, and exploring the ways in which very similar events can have a profoundly dissimilar affect on people, depending on the community in which you live. "I fell in love with journalism because it serves as an opportunity to tell the stories of the voiceless and give insight into the hearts and minds of others, bringing to light the pulse of any given community," she said. Sasha currently serves as a freelance political correspondent for Delaware Hispanic, Delaware’s first on-line magazine targeted to the Hispanic community and a staff writer for The Liberty Press serving the military community of Dover, Delaware. Previously, she was a freelance entertainment reporter for NBC Universal’s DC Scene. Sasha began her career in high school as a teen correspondent for The Beaufort Gazette, in Beaufort, South Carolina. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the College of Charleston in South Carolina, and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Journalism from Georgetown University. Sasha is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists.
