In 2002 she self-published a datebook, Our Families: A Celebration of Adoption, in words and photographs.
She is a freelance photographer specializing in the areas of adoption, the elderly, children, and multicultural subjects.
Springer also consults as a Professional Archivist, organizing photo and print materials for workplace clients including hospitals, companies, and universities.
She has received two City of Cincinnati Individual Artist Grants. The latest creation is an exhibit and book about active nonagenarians (people in their 90s).
