Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Trade Magazine, Online Newsmagazine, Online Trade Magazine, Web Log

I have a master's of journalism from the University of Maryland and have worked in journalism since 1996. I've written for business publications, daily newspapers, Web sites, blogs and e-newsletters. I have a lot of experience in covering health, education and family issues, as well as local government, but I've got solid reporting and writing skills and would be happy to tackle other subjects, too. I'm a stickler for details, and I work quickly...a holdover from my tenure at a daily paper. In my spare time, I read, write for two parenting blogs, grow tomatoes, parent a two-year-old boy and watch baseball.
