Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Community Newspaper, Newsletter, Web Log

I work during the week as a reporter for a weekly newspaper in Macomb County, Michigan, but my passion has always been for film. Writing film reviews was my favorite part of working for our high school newspaper and I minored in film studies in college. Upon starting my career at the Source, I began writing reviews of movies I went to see on the weekend. Circumstances allowed me to be placed on a list for press screenings and, in October 2007, I was invited to join the Detroit Film Critics Society. I was involved in compiling the Society's "Best Of" list for 2007 and many in the community now know me better for my film writing than my beat reporting. I have also interviewed several members of the Hollywood elite, including Diablo Cody and Jason Reitman ("Juno"), the director of "27 Dresses," the stars of "The Visitor," the writer of "The Spiderwicke Chronicles" and Rainn Wilson from television's "The Office." I love all film and everything related to it.
