Work has previously appeared: National Daily Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine

I am a freelance reporter based outside of Washington, D.C. (in Potomac, Maryland) whose work has appeared in an Illinois-based political magazine and national newspapers. Before becoming a freelance reporter, I was a reporter at The Associated Press in Chicago for five years. In that job, I covered state government and politics. Prior to that, I worked as a reporter at the Chicago Tribune in the newspaper's program for experienced journalists. Before that, I worked for five years at the Waterbury Republican-American newspaper in Waterbury, CT. I covered the state Capitol for the newspaper, as well as local government. I have a master's of science in journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and a bachelor of arts in political science and communications from Boston College.
