Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

Kara Fox has worked as a journalist since 1996 in West Viriginia, Colorado, Washington, D.C. and California. She now lives in Lake Tahoe, California, and enjoys the beauty that surrounds her. She worked at daily and communtiy newspapers for 10 years, and now teaches journalism at Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, NV. In 2006, she received a World Affairs Journalism Fellowship from the International Center for Journalists to report on Lake Baikal in Siberia. Kara has received awards for her work, including first place for local spot news from the California Newspaper Publishers Association and first place for best feature story from the Nevada Press Association.
