Rosette Royale, a Seattle-based writer, has been working as a professional journalist for more than five years. His coverage has been wide-ranging, encompassing features, profiles, book reviews and Q-n-A interviews; he’s also written extensively about mental health, the criminal justice system, HIV/AIDS, gender, race and the environment. His work has been awarded a First Place Excellence in Journalism Award by the SPJ Western Washington Chapter for Non-Daily Newspapers. He currently works as a staff reporter and production manager for Real Change, a weekly community paper sold on the streets of Seattle by vendors whom are either homeless or low-wage earners.
