Work has previously appeared: Local Television, Web Log

Experienced reporter and writer seeks to obtain a television reporter position in which I can utilize my media industry experience, reporting and editing skills, extensive programs and systems knowledge, and creative capabilities in order to become a successful reporter and advance to anchoring.

I earned a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University with a specialization in American Politics and International Relations. I also possess an A.A. in Writing and Literature from Borough of Manhattan Community College.

While at Columbia, I completed an internship at CNN's American Morning, where I worked closely with the anchors, reporters, and producers. I attended news-gathering meetings, pitched story ideas, and assisted with pre-production tasks, among many other vital activities.

At Columbia, I was a Correspondent for CTV News (Columbia Television News), where I was responsible for delivering a completed package for the show. I handled all aspects of a story from camera work and reporting to script-writing and editing.

While at BMCC, I was a General Assignment Writer and Education Editor for Voice of the Voiceless Newspaper.

A summary of my skills are as follows: strong writer, fluent in Spanish and intermediate Italian, excellent leadership abilities, forward-thinking, creative, ambitious, and passionate about journalism. Extensive video camera, interviewing, script-writing, editing, and package development experience. Skilled in most media interface equipment. Proficient in Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro, Pinnacle Studio, iMovie, iNews, Vortex Browse, Ardome-Ardcap, Lexis-Nexis, MediaSource, Mira, PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, and Microsoft Office.
