Kim Wagner-Hemmes is a native Chicagoan with years of extensive study in multiple art forms. While completing her Master of Arts degree in Art History at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, she developed a strong interest in film and herpetology. This ultimately led to the production of her 2008 documentary, The Reptile Sanctuary. Her documentary, which was featured in the “Crocodiles: Ancient Survivors” exhibit at the Arizona Museum of Natural History, was also the recipient of a 2008 Telly Award. In addition to her involvement with independent filmmaking, Wagner-Hemmes works as a freelance writer, photographer, and public relations consultant through her multimedia company KYMASTYX PRODUCTIONS.
