Boyce Upholt is the web editor at Politics magazine and a freelance writer. After graduating from Haverford College in 2006, he moved to South Dakota’s Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, where he taught high school math, learned to wear cowboy boots, and occasionally watched the sun set over herds of wallowing bison. In 2008, he returned to the east coast to begin a career as a writer and a journalist. His writing has been published in over a dozen newspapers and magazines.
