Work has previously appeared: Daily Newspaper, Community Newspaper, Local/Regional Magazine

I have been a full-time journalist since June 2005, with half that time being spent as a staff writer at the Kalamazoo (Mich.) Gazette (daily circulation: 60,000; 75,000 on Sunday) and the other half spent freelancing for Gazette, United Press International and various other news outlets, both in print and online. I bring a diverse skill-set to the table, with experience reporting everywhere from the Mayor's office to the streets, and everywhere in between. I'm not afraid to go anywhere to get the story and tell it in a compelling, meaningful way. Journalism is my passion and I think it's nothing short of a privilege to be a storyteller.
