Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Work has previously appeared: My articles have appeared in several publications including AAA Journey, Northwest Travel, Oregon Coast, Native Peoples, South Sound, 425 Magazine, WellBella, Northwest Palate and many others. I authored Best Easy Day Hikes-Seattle and Best Easy Day Hikes-Tacoma, both for Falcon Guides.

I freelance full-time in magazines, guidebooks, commercial copywriting, editing, and communications consulting. My articles have appeared in regional, national, and international publications. I co-chair Pacific NW Travel Writers Conference. I serve on the Board of Directors for International Food, Wine and Travel Writers Assoc. (www.ifwtwa.org), and lead their Excellence Awards Program.
