Her articles have appeared in publications such as San Diego Union-Tribune, Hispanic, Uptown, Los Angeles Times, Writers' Journal, Decor & Style, Living Better, Kids' Wall Street News, San Diego Writers' Monthly and Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education. She was parenting columnist for Siempre Mujer magazine (Meredith Corporation). She has earned awards for Journalistic Excellence from the Society of Professional Journalists and the National Federation of Press Women. She also edits, ghostwrites and gives writing workshops.
