Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

Im a Bratislava, Slovakia-based foreign correspondent. Before that, I was based in Budapest, Hungary, then Brooklyn, New York. Over the past 15 years, Ive reported from 25 countries for the Christian Science Monitor and others. Six years ago, I also began teaching international reporting. Ive now taught my methodology to the students of Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York; University of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia; Masaryk University in Brno, the Czech Republic; Danube University in Krems, Austria; Hong Kong Baptist University; plus, some 200 foreign participants in the TOL Foreign Correspondence Training Course, held biannually in Prague, the Czech capital.
