I’m a Bratislava, Slovakia-based foreign correspondent. Before that, I was based in Budapest, Hungary, then Brooklyn, New York. Over the past 15 years, I’ve reported from 25 countries for the Christian Science Monitor and others. Six years ago, I also began teaching international reporting. I’ve now taught my methodology to the students of Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York; University of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia; Masaryk University in Brno, the Czech Republic; Danube University in Krems, Austria; Hong Kong Baptist University; plus, some 200 foreign participants in the TOL Foreign Correspondence Training Course, held biannually in Prague, the Czech capital.
