Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

An experienced writer with a sense of humor, sense of adventure, and sense of a good story, Naomi travels the world writing about the outdoors, nature, adventure, general destination, science, and fishing. Trained as a science writer at the Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison; taught journalism at UW-Madison and Colorado State University; published own trade magazine (Brilliant Ideas for Publishers) for newspapers for ten years; authored a highlysuccessful trade book (The Brilliant Book of Promotions, Sales Tools & Special Events); and took newspaper publishers on business trips all over the world. She wrote a regular weekly column for the Sawyer County Record in n.w. Wisconsin; was a stringer for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel; and is field editor or contributor to numerous newspapers, magazines, websites, and syndicates.
