My name is Ryan McDonald, a visiting student at New York University and currently a junior at the University of Toledo in Ohio majoring in communication and a minor in business. I find it very hard to describe my talents and special skills because I feel they are limitless. I truly believe I can accomplish anything I want, as long as I devote the necessary time, energy, and focus. I am a very passionate person about God, life, and everything around me. The idea that every thing and every person are connected in some way intrigues me, and this is where my passion for journalism exists. My other passion, music, has developed from an extreme devotion to the diversity of personal expression, and how even the most opposite of person can relate to a certain song or artist. These passions have led me to believe I belong in the entertainment industry. I love working with people, listening to them, and understanding what makes them tick. I am a journalist and I primarily write in the entertainment field. I also plan to expand my knowledge in photography, video, and audio due to the constant change in technology. My writing ability expands outside of journalism into hip-hop where I create songs and poetry as well. My abilities are very diverse and because of this, I will be able to succeed in multiple areas of the entertainment industry as long as my focus is on God and contributing to society in a unique and beneficial way.
