Work has previously appeared: Community Newspaper

I have more than two years of experience writing on a wide range of topics, including education, politics — including the 2008 primary season — local government, the environment and more. I have training and skills in AP style (writing and editing), word processing programs on PC and Mac, Adobe Photoshop and In Design, and other technical skills. I am certified by the Texas Freedom of Information Foundation in the Texas Open Meetings and Open Records acts. My background lends itself well to articles with quick turnaround, long features or investigative articles. I was on the staff of the award-winning student newspaper The Ranger, and worked my way from staff writer to news editor, opinion editor and finally editor.
