Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

I am a Duquesne Unversity graduate with a bachelor's degree in Print Journalism. I currently reside in Erie PA, nestled in the middle of Buffalo, Cleveland and Pittsburgh, and I am attaining my Masters Degree in Communications and Media Studies from Edinboro University. I have written numerous sports stories for the Erie Times-News, and I previously served as Sports Editor of my college's student newspaper, The Duquesne Duke. I was also president of the University's SPJ chapter. As a senior in high school, I worked as a sports reporter for Gazette Newspapers. Since then, I have had over 100 clips published in The Duquesne Duke, I served as the Duquesne sports beat reporter for and I have had 20 clips published in the Erie Times News. My first book entitled General McLane Athletics: Stories From the First Fifty Years was released in December 2010.
