I have lived in Arizona for the last six years. I am a working professional photographer yet also a nontraditional student in my senior year at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. In other words, the writing part of my professional career is fresh and anew.

I was born and raised in Billings, MT. I grew up there mostly in the outdoors fly fishing, camping, hiking and photographing during the Montana of my youth. My Aunt Judy was a photographer. She gave me my first SLR film camera on July 29, 1987, for my 8th birthday. It was obvious to her that I had a great photographic eye, and my fascination with photography was strong. She took my desire and fostered it. I’m glad she did. I’ve been photographing my way through life ever since. I will continue down this path in an eager fashion, especially since Judy is gone now. She passed on in April 1995 from cancer; so all the memories and my work is all I have left of her. I love her so much and thank her everyday for the push...
