Work has previously appeared: Community Newspaper, Online Trade Magazine, Magazine

I am a graduate student at Edinboro University, where I work with the university's online newspaper - the Boro Online - as a graduate assistant. After earning my undergraduate degree in journalism and English from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, I am now seeking my Master's Degree in Communications and Media Studies. I am a part-time reporter for Gazette Papers, a stringer for Reuters and freelance for a couple different magazines, including Pittsburgh Magazine and Lake Erie Living. At Duquesne, I served as Features Editor for the University's student newspaper, The Duquesne Duke, which controlled both the features and arts & entertainment section. I was also the secretary of the University's SPJ chapter. I have interned for Pittsburgh Magazine and the Willow Grove Public Spirit, a small paper outside of Philadelphia. I have had over 80 clips published from a variety of publications and have won first place for received a first place award for In-Depth Reporting for my story entitled "Duquesne's freedom fighters" from the Society of Professional Journalists and have also received Honorable Mention for a Profile Pieces for my story entitled "Why me? Why now?" from the Pennsylvania Keystone Awards.
