A staff reporter at daily and weekly newspapers in Texas and California for five years, I currently offer three Phoenix-based freelance columns. One, titled "Ninth Circuit," features my rigorously accurate, hard-news reports of actions of federal and state trial courts and courts of appeal. Another is an observer column titled "The Naked Eye." The third is an opinion column titled "Philosopher Stone." I am also the author of a satirical drama, "Revolt of the White People;" a collection of short stories, "Schedae in Oxyrhynchus;" and other works.
