Tamar Wilner is a Dallas-based freelance journalist with extensive experience in the fields of energy, the environment, urban development and revitalization, public policy, economic development and business. She has written hundreds of articles published in newspapers, trade magazines, general interest magazines, online and on interactive TV services. Tamar is available for writing, reporting, editing and proofreading.
A native of Washington, D.C., Tamar spent six years working in the U.K., and is equally at home writing in British and American English. Tamar has written for media outlets including the political and social issues magazine New Internationalist, satirical magazine Private Eye, satellite television company UKTV, urban development trade magazine Regeneration & Renewal, entrepreneurs’ publication Real Business and finance directors’ magazine Real Finance.
Currently she is finishing a book-length report for Haymarket Media’s Windpower Monthly on the U.S. policy climate for renewable energy investment; writing news and features for Regeneration & Renewal; and working on other projects.
Tamar earned her B.A. in philosophy with honors from Wesleyan University and trained in magazine journalism at PMA Training, which is accredited by the U.K.’s Periodicals Training Council. She is the founder and organizer of the Dallas Journalists’ Society.
