I am a former research biochemist with extensive experience as a
writer of biomedical communications for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, medical centers, nonprofit healthcare organizations, and public relations and advertising agencies. I have held senior and other editorial positions with a number of medical/healthcare publications, and have been a manuscript editor of more than 65 medical textbooks and various general books on health and science. My background includes education/training
in organic/biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and other biomedical sciences, and an M.A. degree in communications and journalism. My experience in biomedical communications has included the writing of newsletters, educational materials, and technical materials for clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals; research and technical writing on topics in clinical and diagnostic technologies; extensive writing of product-related literature; and medical/science feature and newswriting.

As a former bio/organic chemist and pharmaceutical research chemist, and as an experienced professional writer and editor who has worked with many physicians and other healthcare professionals, I can provide scientifically
accurate, clearly understandable, and effective writing and editing
to meet specific client/project needs.
