Bio (click to expand) As a staff reporter-turned-freelance journalist, Anna Pratt, who lives in Minneapolis, Minn., has ventured into garbage houses, spent the night in a homeless shelter and witnessed a fistfight in a church basement, all for various stories. Her byline has appeared in the Star Tribune, The Line, the Southwest Journal, the Minnesota Independent and several suburban and community papers, web publications and broadcast media in the Twin Cities. Pratt is active with the Society of Professional Journalists' freelance community and she serves as the treasurer for the award-winning Minnesota Pro Chapter of SPJ.

Served for 10 years as Web site editor for the Advanced Medical Technology Association, the world's largest association of medical technology companies. I develop and edit content for the association's Web site and coordinate all daily editorial functions with the Web contractor. Increasingly, my work involves photography used on the site, as well. Previous career experience includes service as the first Communications Director of the National Association of Black Journalists; Senior Communications Associate of the American Council of Life Insurance; staff writer for daily newspapers including American Metal Market; The Wall Street Journal and The Charlotte News. Freelance experience includes Sodexo, Inc.; NPR; the University of Maryland Medical Alumni News; GEICO; U.S. Airways; The Washington Afro-American Newspaper; Dawn Magazine and a variety of business clients.
