Work has previously appeared: Community Newspaper, Local Television

I am currently editor-in-chief of the University Journal at Southern Utah University. I have experience reporting on community, state and national issues and newsmakers. In 2008 I covered the national elections from Washington, DC, and from the floor of the Democratic National Convention as a credentialed reporter. I received 1st place for news reporting in the national 2009 CapitolBeat “Best of Statehouse Reporting” college contest. Issues I have covered in-depth include elections, the Utah Legislature, higher education, crime and general community news. I am experienced as a photographer and videographer and have working knowledge of many digital photo and video editing programs. I am willing and able to cover anything in Utah or southern Nevada.
