A 2011 graduate of Kansas State University, I am a full time journalist currently based out of Vero Beach, Fla. Since my days as a feature reporter at my University's newspaper, I continue to develop a hunger for tracking down juicy stories and crafting them into journalistic jewels I can be proud of. I have been a junior editor for a large technology magazine in Massachusetts, and a staff reporter for several small community newspapers in Massachusetts and Florida, but the freelance world is what entices me most. From pitch to publish, I like to own my stories and find the best possible outlet for them to appear in. Currently, I specialize in local government and crime stories. But I find myself filling my free time with as many quirky features and travel articles I can manage. Though words are what I love to string together, I travel with a camera, video camera, and voice recorder to ensure my stories are always complemented with the best visual and/or audio media possible. I have passion, grit, persistence, and a love for pounding the pavement. I can't imagine a better career to submerse myself in.
