I am a freelance multimedia journalist currently based in Honolulu. My main topics of interest are human rights, sexual violence issues, and politics. I have over 8 years' experience in digital photography and journalism, including writing, radio and video production. I’ve lived and worked in the U.S., Denmark, and the U.K., and also freelanced for organizations in Canada, Spain, and China.

In 2017, I completed the joint Erasmus Mundus M.A. in Journalism, Media and Globalisation through the Danish School of Media and Journalism. I specialized in War & Conflict Reporting at Swansea University in Wales. My dissertation, "Atrocious Aesthetics," explored the construction of atrocity images in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

In 2017, I was enrolled at the EIUC School of Human Rights in Venice, Italy, participating in the Reporting Sexual Violence in Conflict summer program.
