For my work, I received multiple awards and was named DoSomething.org's “11 Young Women to Look Out For.” In 2013, I was the youngest recipient of Muslim Women Alliance (MWA)’s Inspiring Woman Award and in 2014, I was awarded Chicago’s Top Muslim Achiever in Activism and Service Award. In 2015, I was invited for dinner to the White House Dinner by President Obama for my work as a Muslim woman. I am also a 2018-2019 American Association of University Women Career Development Awardee. I have been featured in The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and ABC News for my work. I completed my MA in Social Impact through which I uplift Muslim women by debunking stereotypes.
