Survey of job market for recent J-school graduates to be released this afternoon
At 1 p.m. Eastern today, the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication will release the results of its Annual Survey of Journalism & Mass Communication Graduates.
The report will be available at the college’s Web site:
http://www.grady.uga.edu/annualsurveys
Conducted since 1997 by the college’s Cox Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research, the survey collects data from graduates of mass communication and journalism programs. Questions probe post-graduation employment status, salary, and similar job-market experiences.
Research funding comes from at least 14 outside sponsors, ranging from educational and journalism foundations to media corporations. The Sigma Delta Chi Foundation, SPJ’s educational arm, is a 2008 project sponsor.
