Predicting 2016 (and Beyond)

Harvard’s Nieman Lab closes out every year – and ushers in the next – by asking dozens of smart media folks to offer their journalism predictions for the coming year. Some are far-reaching and grandiose. Others are fairly specific and more easily measured. All are worth reading and highlight worthwhile ideas across a broad spectrum of the industry. Here for Quill are a selected four of the predictions from an energetic and engaged segment of the group. See them all from Nieman Lab here.

- The Year of the Splinter Site by Katie Zhu

- Women Get Treated as Equal Consumers of News by Mandy Velez

- Come On, Feel Something by P. Kim Bui

- Adele and the Death of Clickbait by Mark S. Luckie
