Keynote Speaker: Lana Durban Scott
The keynote address will be given at lunch on July 28 by WRTV-6 general manager Lana Durban Scott. She will discuss how she overcame obstacles to become one of the first women to manage a television station in Indianapolis.
Lana Durban Scott is the vice president and general manager of WRTV-TV. She was born in Columbus, Ohio; raised in Cleveland. She has her bachelor's in mass communication and media studies at Cleveland's John Carroll University. She spent 10 1/2 years as senior director of news strategy and operations at the E.W. Scripps Co. She started in executive-producing roles for Scripps' WEWS-TV Channel 5 in Cleveland. Scott is the second-ever woman general manager of an Indianapolis TV Station and the first in well over a decade.
