Connect & Communicate: Using Social Media Tools: Part 1

 

There's no doubting that social media tools are powerful ways of connecting and communicating with audiences and finding new information for stories. But they can also be major "time sucks." Journalists using these tools must remember that social media is not a replacement for traditional skills. Rather, one complements the other. Plus, there are good and bad sides of Twitter and Facebook. Understanding how to use these tools correctly will save you time in your busy day.
